macOS Installation: BFG Miner (Crypto Miner Software)

BFGMiner is a modular ASIC/FPGA miner written in C, featuring dynamic clocking, monitoring, and remote interface capabilities.



Install BFG Miner on macOS



1. Download bfgminer 5.4.2 for macOS here.


2. Unzip bfgminer-5.4.2-mac.zip and go into the folder /bfgminer/bin/ and double-click bfgminer. You will get a prompt to allow it to run:

3. Next, you will need to input a Bitcoin mining pool address and login information. We joined the BTC mining pool at https://pool.btc.com/

4. Now you will be at this screen with a notice: NO DEVICES FOUND

5. Press "M" and then "+" buttons to get to "Enter Target" screen. Finally, type auto.

6. Hit enter.


7. Next, we will change the pool management. Hit "p" then "c". Choose "4" for Balance strategy. Finally, press enter again.

When I get to this point, the BFG miner says

[2021-05-17 22:28:32] OCL 0 failure, disabling!
[2021-05-17 22:28:32] OCL 0 being disabled

and this part dosent seem correct

Thanks for replying back all week, yes I downloaded bfgminer 5.4.2 for macOS then open bin/bfgminer which opens a Terminal and ask for the URL
