It would be nice to see if all GPU's working during mining.

I have the same machine and have been researching and waiting for this GPU for over 2 years. If someone writes actual native miner for this GPU we can easily get closer to 40Mhs. Also, the chip is setup for more. The neural engine and CPU are capable of simultaneous compute.

There's no reason a well-engineered miner can't use everything at once.

The https://github.com/gyf304/ethminer-m1 is not put together correctly for the M1. It is simply forked and hacked to fool the miner into thinking that it's an Intel. I'm surprised it even runs TBH.

BTW: 3311.3Mh with XMRig CPU mining

Wow thanks for the XMRig cpu results - also disappointing. That's equal to that last line MacBook Pro 16" Intel 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

Sure, I'd love to hear more about what others are doing to mine with a M1 Max.

The XMRig miner for M1 has a few original features turned off so I'm sure that is why it's not impressive.

From the Docs:
ARM macOS has the following disadvantages which reduce the hashrate:

Enforced Hardened Runtime, it means RandomX JIT compiler can work only in slow secure mode.
Any kind of CPU affinity not supported.
Huge pages not supported.
So it's ironic to me that our "chip-revolution" devices have no native mining software. UGH!

Is Windows-ARM able to be natively installed yet on the M1's? Once it can be, we'll be able to test NiceHash miners.

I supposed Parallels and XMRig isn't much better on the M1 MAX for CPU? GPU probably won't work still

Fyi
XMRig/6.15.3 (Macintosh; macOS; arm64) libuv/1.42.0 clang/12.0.5 was used as a miner

Apple M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max processor hashrate:

Apple M1 - 2390H/s
Apple M1 Pro - 3470H/s
Apple M1 Max - 3513H/s

It should be noted that the performance per core of the junior M1 processor is even higher than that of the older models: 430H/s vs. 350H/s.

Compared to the testing of M1 processor in the last year 2020, the processor's hashrate has not changed for this time, i.e. the current hash rate on the RandomX algorithm for M1 Max and Pro can be considered the maximum values and one should not expect any strong changes towards improvement from software additions to the miners.

In the overall ranking of mining performance processors Apple M1 Max and M1 Pro take 459 and 462 places, losing a few positions to the popular 2017 Intel model Core i7 7700K with 3535H/s.

Intel's current mobile processor, the Core i7 1165G7, puts out 2724H/s, which is more than the simple M1, but worse than the PRO and MAX versions.

AMD's Ryzen 7 5800H mobile processor is expected in this discipline to show who's boss in the house at 5410H/s. Not to mention the full version of this processor 5800X.

Thanks for tutorials on this site.
Here is screen shots of mining with M1 Max.
These rates very steady for some days.

Tracking progress mining SAITAMA coin at unmineable.
Maybe takes 30-40 days to reach the goal.
M1 Pro Max mining 24/7.
About 1/3 way to 700,000,000 payout.

Thanks for sharing. You all using the M1 Max "High Performance Mode" ?
